With summer here, soccer players will likely spend more time outdoors, taking a break from the field and engaging in the various activities of the season. However, with the high temperatures and numerous summer activities, it is critical to prioritize safety in the sun.
Follow these simple safety tips to help keep yourself and your loved ones safe from the sun this summer.
- Apply sunscreen every two hours or more often if you are sweating or swimming.
- Wear sunglasses with 100% UV protection to protect your eyes.
- Dress in loose-fitting, light-colored clothing that covers your skin.
- Drink plenty of fluids.
- Take breaks in the shade as often as possible, ideally every 30 minutes.
