The first line of defense against any season or training injuries is ensuring that your athlete is fit to participate by getting an annual physical. We encourage parents and guardians to speak with NORTAC coaches to ensure their athlete has the proper equipment and understands the correct techniques their child should use on the field. As your soccer player continues to push themselves, athletes should consider participating in other physical activities to help prevent overuse injuries.
Food is fuel. Provide your athlete with a healthy and well-balanced diet full of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins, and ensure that they maintain a proper eating schedule. Lastly, if you notice a change in your athleteโ€™s stature, like a limp or persistent pain, please seek an assessment as soon as possible before returning your child to the activity.
