A letter from;

Metro Parks Tacoma

Hello Sports Rental Partners,

Unfortunately, recent community engagement meetings have pushed the project planners away keeping Peck as a Sports complex and they are moving in the direction of the recent Stanley Playfield project, which would mean removing sports fields entirely from the Peck site. I need the support of your communities of athletes to keep the space useable and accessible for your sports groups!

The Tacoma community will have a chance to vote to remove the sports fields from the Peck sports complex this Tuesday, July 18th at 5:30pm at People’s Center. Metro Parks uses the feedback from these meetings directly in it’s planning of these projects, and the people who want to remove sports are showing up to support their plan, so Metro Parks is listening!

Not only does this complex concern future baseball/softball plans, but potential multi-use football/soccer on the site as well because at least one of the 3 options being unveiled Tuesday will include multi-sport fields like our SERA turf.

I hope to see some of you out to support keeping Peck Sports complex a sports complex!

Dinner is provided
