Heart health is a topic of discussion right now in the sports community. Knowing the warning signs and what to do next is the best way to be prepared for the potential of having a cardiac emergency happen on the field.

The right equipment and training are necessary to respond quickly and effectively. An AED (automated external defibrillator) is a piece of equipment that can greatly increase the positive outcomes of a cardiac arrest. Should a cardiac emergency happen, families should know where the AED is located, someone should call 911 and a coach or trained person should begin CPR until the medical team arrives.

We are here to support NORTAC athletes and their families in staying heart healthy. If you have any concerns, we are here and can help evaluate your symptoms and create an individualized treatment plan.
