Who will my coach be?

Coaches are usually volunteer parents who have a child on the team.

What credentials do the coaches have and are their backgrounds investigated?

Every Nortac coach is required to complete a Washington State Patrol background clearance through Washington State Youth Association. The clearances are done every year and the State has the option at any time to review any coach. Nortac encourages coaches to attend a coaching course offered by WSYSA or through Nortac's coaches' clinics. There are many license levels from Modified Soccer all the way up to an "A" license (the highest level and usually not required of any coach unless they are coaching college or national teams). These courses are always sanctioned by the Washington State Youth Soccer Association (WSYSA) and conducted by one of their staff coaches trained specifically for teaching coaches.

When should I expect to hear from a coach about what team I am on?

Typically for the Fall league season (Modified and Recreational), you should hear from a coach 3-4 weeks before games begin.

How do I register?

Registration for all age groups is done online. The registration process can be started by clicking Here. If you have a pop-up blocker installed, you must disable it or the registration process will not work correctly. From this point you must log in using a username/password you create. Once you have logged in, click the "Registration" button on the left and continue by choosing the event(s) for which you will be registering.

What if I can't remember my username or password?

If you are having problems logging in, call Bonzi at 1-866-726-4131

Can I fill out a paper form instead of registering online?

No. All registration is done online so paper forms are not accepted.

What if a potential player doesn't have access to a computer for registration?

Parents without a computer should seek out the use of a computer at a public library, neighbor's house, school, or work in order to register their child.

Do I need email in order to register?

Yes. An email address is required for registration in order to send confirmation information to parents. Parents without email should register for one of the many free email services available online before registering.

What type of payment can I use?

Nortac prefers that you pay for registration fees online with a credit/debit card at the time of registration. This allows players to be confirmed immediately and rostered to a team. If you choose not to pay by credit card, Nortac will accept checks, money orders, or cash (please do not send cash through the mail). NOTE: If you pay by check, your child(ren) will NOT be put on a team until your check has cleared the bank. Please allow up to 10 days from the time we receive your payment for this process to be completed.

The best way is to contact the NorTac Registrar is by email at registrar@nortac.org.

Do you offer discounts for families with multiple players?

Yes. Each additional family member receives a $10 discount.

Do I have to supply a birth certificate every time I register?

No. Starting in the 2015 season birth certificates will only need to be supplied one time. Once a player's date of birth has been verified and documented in the registration system they should not need to be provided their birth certificate again.

Who do I contact to update my registration information?

Parents can update personal information for them and their players by logging into the online registration system with their username/password.

Can my child switch teams?

NorTac tries to discourage switching teams once team rosters are set. It is very difficult to switch players due to the restrictions put on roster sizes. The best way to ensure you're on the team you want is to request your coach or player during the registration process. We try to accommodate all requests, but sometimes due to the number of players, requests can't be met.

How can I get involved or be placed on a committee?

Contact any Board Member for the possibilities or attend the monthly Board Meeting to volunteer.
